How to set default player vlc in ubuntu 16.04

Set default video player as VLC

Go to right corner of screen click on setting icons Then select "About This Computer".



In  the new dialog box appeared, select "Default Application".Then go to "video" option and select option "vlc"



Now, The VLC player is set as default player in the ubuntu
